CIC microGUNE is a Cooperative Research Centre created with the objective of being a new scientific-technology alliance model for excellent research activity, integrating the capacities of the different agents of the Basque Science, Technology and Innovation Network in the strategic field of micro-technology, in order to contribute to increasing the level of competitiveness of the Basque Country business sector.
It is the result of the strategic alliance between the research centres of CEIT, IKERLAN and TEKNIKER, MGEP of the MONDRAGON UNIBERTSITATEA university and the TECNUN of the NAVARRA university, with the support of the MONDRAGON group and the collaboration of IMEC (Interuniversity Microelectronics Centre (Belgium)) for technological research and development in microtechnology.
High performance cooperation platform that includes the capacities of geographically distributed different research groups towards to a sole market/project technology.
The activity is developed through its three research units specialised in: Microsensors, Microfluidics, and Micro-Nano engineering.
SPHERE OF ACTIVITIES
Microtechnology activities include the design, manufacturing and packaging of micro-nano devices and components that can be used in a wide scope of activities like automation, biomedicine, energy saving and ICTs.
